QT Port - first screenshots

Making good progress on the QT port.  Most of the core code has been converted, and there is enough of a font-end to get the player through the character startup, display the town, and save and load the character.  Keep in mind this means that objects, dungeon levels, and monsters can all be generated.  Monsters can be placed in the town, and objects put in the stores, in the character inventory, or on the dungeon floor.  We are close to being able to process some commands, and actually play a turn of the game. In terms of progress, almost all of the core code has been converted, and we can concentrate on building a front-end.  Here are some screenshots:

The basic character birth menu.  We will later add a "style" to give it a good fantasy/middle earth feel to all dialog boxes.

Re: QT Port - first screenshots

Your basic ASCII town, but the big improvement is that almost any font and/or font size that is stored on your system can be used.  And all Unicode characters can be displayed, not just ASCII.  You could even format it with underline, bold, or italics if you wanted.

And, all 24-bit colors (pretty much any color in existence on your computer) can now be displayed.
